Clinical Speech Pathology
Dr Sanchez provides clinical speech pathology services through her private practice, Protea Therapy. She is experienced in providing clinical speech pathology services to children aged 0-6. She has worked across community health, hospital, not-for-profit, private, and university clinics, providing services to infants and children with a range of feeding and communication concerns, including:
Early communication delays
Late talking and language disorders
Speech sound disorders
Stuttering
Feeding disorders
She also has experience with a number of developmental and medical diagnoses, including premature birth, autism spectrum disorders, global developmental delay, and cerebral palsy.
Dr Sanchez holds a PhD in Speech Pathology from the University of Melbourne, a Bachelor of Speech Pathology with Honours from La Trobe University, and is a certified practicing member of Speech Pathology Australia. She has additional training in speech and language disorders, stuttering, feeding disorders, play, mental health, and counselling, and is qualified to deliver Hanen: It Takes Two to Talk, SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) Feeding Therapy, the Lidcombe Stuttering Program, and PROMPT speech therapy.
